Rob Bertholf - CEO

 

Rob Bertholf is the Founder of The Zeppo Network, inventor of the ZeppOS standard Internet platform, and the father of Web Empowerment. Founding Empowered Internet Solutions in the summer of 2005, Rob lead the company to achieve many remarkable milestones.  His passion for his clients and strong devotion to advancement in technology were key to dominating the web design market and forging strong alliances with local vendors.  Through his vision and leadership Empowered is now solidified as the largest and most respected web solutions provider for the state of Hawaii and one of the fastest growing web solution providers in the nation.

 

Before striking out on his own, Rob managed the web team and technical direction as the Director of Web Innovation for ResortQuest Hawaii/Aston Hotels and Resorts. Rob also served two tours of active duty with the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant and participating in real world operations to include Operation ALLIED FORCE/SOUTHERN WATCH and serving on an elite team of specialists for the USAFE Server Consolidation and Implementation Plan. For his innovation and dedication to service, SSgt Bertholf was awarded a Commendation Medal, three Achievement Medals and was selected as USAFE's Communication and Information Management professional of the year two years in a row. SSgt Bertholf's career was highlighted by a commendation from the US Joint Chiefs of Staff for his role in the development of a classified web-based tasking software.

 

Although starting out as a game programmer, Rob's fascination for the Internet was paramount. A pioneer in web content management, Rob developed an online teen community in 1996. The portal, named Zeppo, was an instant success receiving recognition from Yahoo and Lycos.
